Job Description
JN Technical are recruiting an experienced Site Engineer for a national civil engineering contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience working on multi discipline contracts and will be from a Principal or Main Contracting background. Knowledge of civil engineering projects including groundworks, formwork and steel erection would be beneficial.
If successful your role will cover site surveys, quality assessment, supervising of labour during construction phase of each contract. This role will involve working on nationwide sites so applicants must be prepared to work away from home Mon-Fri on a regular basis.
Site Engineer roles & responsibilities:
* Planning and programming your own contract works.
* Producing method statements and lift plans
* Overseeing heavy lifts onsite
* Temporary Works and Co-ordination
* Liaising with the client and attending regular site meetings
* Health and Safety
* Set out accurate secondary control.
* Stake out points from site drawings.
* Accurately survey embedded plates and issue precise set out drawing for fin plates
* Survey complex structures and line and level to site requirements.
* Perform complex monitoring operations to check for structural movement during erection and demolition.
* Knowledge or the use and application of robotic total stations
