Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Site Manager to work for one of the leading contractors in Sevenoaks. The client is highly recognised with an impressive reputation within the field for delivering high scale projects with impressive quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish standards of quality on site and ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements.
* Co-ordinate labour and materials to meet the production programme
* Monitoring the output of all persons working on site and signing work off for payment, ensuring they have been completing to the required standards of quality.
* Manage project handover and ensure defect/snag free completion.
* Support the strategy for the closure of defects during defects period and obtain certificate of Making Good Defects within targets set.
* Initiate and attend inspections by the Local Building Inspector or the NHBC
* Deal with customer queries as they arise.
* Undertake the works in the most economic manner. to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs and preliminaries losses.
* Monitor and work to agreed preliminaries budget.
* Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
* Attend health and safety training as needed and maintain the minimum level of qualification the position requires.
* Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme and manage community relations. Ensure appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business.
Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
A track record of successful delivery of projects.
Proven experience of:
* A variety of construction operations.
* Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
* Reading and accurately interpreting programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
* Ensuring project team(s) understanding of drawings and technical specifications.
* Understanding and appropriately sharing build programmes.
* Managing the supply chain, direct employees and consultants.
* Playing a role which positively contributes to the project team(s).
* Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
* Controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc).
* Appropriate CSCS card.
* SMSTS certificate.
* First Aid at Work certificate.
* Valid driving licence.
