Job Description

Storeman, Stock controller, Service Engineer required to join a leading engineering supplier of compressed air systems.

Storeman, Stock controller, Service Engineer will be working predominantly on the trade counter, responsible for the stock control, quality and purchasing costs plus technical support to customers and hands on engineering support to the service team on and off site where required.

The successful Storeman, Stock controller, Service Engineer will ideally have an engineering background in pneumatics, compressed air, valves, pumps, hydraulics or similar pneumatic products & services.

Mechanical Service Engineers looking to come off the tools in to a more office based position would be of huge interest.

The Storeman, Stock controller, Service Engineer Role
Working on the trade counter, providing technical support to customers for Air compressors, filtration, pumps, valves and similar pneumatic equipment.
Responsible for the stock control, controlling stores stock levels, quality and purchasing costs for air compressors, Air Treatment, Regulators, Filters, Fittings, Couplings, Hose and Tubes, pumps, valves & compressed air accessories.
Hands on engineering support to the compressor service team on and off site where required.
Preparation of technical information, pricing parts and quotations complying with deadlines.
Order placement and expediting of purchase order.
Supply management, stock/cost management and supply chain management.
Identify, establish and consolidate vendors in the supply chain.
Liaise with various engineering departments.
Commutable to High Wycombe or willing to re locate.

The Storeman, Stock controller, Service Engineer Requirements
Previous experience in an Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, Stores Controller, Storeman, Service Coordinator or similar position is essential.
Excellent communication and customer relationship building skills are critical.
Experienced in working with pneumatic equipment such as compressors, vacuum systems, filtration, pumps, valves and similar compressed air products & accessories.
Must possess good, IT, written, numeric skills and experience on ERP is advantageous.
Mechanical Service Engineers looking to come off the tools in to a more office based position would be of huge interest.
Forklift operator’s license advantageous.
Full driving licence
