Job Description
Traineee CNC machinist required. My client is a well established engineering service working predominantly within the plastics industry. They work with a wide range of materials, and have various CNC / Manual Machines. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career within a smal yet well established company.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a keen interest in Engineering / Manufacturing and ideally have college experience or a background working in a CNC environment. They are open to offering this as an apprenticship to the right candidate.
Trainee CNC machinist Position Overview
Using 3 or 4 axis milling machinery
3 axis routing
Manual Milling / Turning
Programming and setting CNC machinery
Using CAD / CAM software
Reading and understanding engineering drawings, working from sketches
Working with various materials on different machinery to produce work to an excellent standard
Trainee CNC machinist Position Requirements
Must be keen and have a good work attitude
Willing to learn how to understand and read engineering drawings, as well as working on a range of machines.
Good knowledge of machinery and software is advantageous but not essential
Higher level education or college qualifications related to engineering are preferred
Must live within a commutable distance of Leighton Buzzard.
Trainee CNC machinist Position Remuneration
Full time – permanent position
Salary £19,000 – £21,000 dependent upon experience
Working hours, Monday to Friday – 07:00am – 15:00pm
28 days holiday including BH
