Job Description
Domestic Appliance Service Engineer
Yorkshire
£28000-£32000
Responsible for carrying out repairs of domestic appliances situated in customers homes, stores and other associated locations
Working Hours 9am – 5pm / Monday to Friday (out of hours travelling is required)
Note: hours are not limited to above as it is expected reasonable daily workload is achieved.
We are an after sales support operation for domestic appliances sold within the UK & Europe. The overall objective of the role is to repair customer appliances at their home location and to agreed standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair domestic appliances in agreed area (travel will be required)
Provide consumer training in the use of their products
Manage own diary to suit customer / company requirements
Manage routing to suit above
Manage van stock to ensure accuracy and suitable stock levels
Order parts as required per repair
Carry out administration on paper or web portal
Carry out installation of new products if requested
Carry out in-store training if requested
Act on complaints / escalations as requested
Ensure customers are informed on repair progress at all times
Play a part in the success of the business
Essential skills and experience:
Good electrical safety knowledge
Domestic appliance fault finding and repair experience.
Refrigeration / refrigeration systems experience optional but beneficial.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
Self sufficient but also a Team Player.
Good diary management.
Flexibility and forward planning.
Good numerical skills.
Ability to problem solve
