Job Description
THE ROLE
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
* Knowledge of Casting and Machine (Essential)
* CAD experience ideally with Siemens NX
* Automotive packaging design experience – Ideally Engine packaging
* Ability to perform re-work and re-designs to customer specification
* High level understanding of the design process within the Automotive industry
* Confidence to work autonomously and solution driven
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Follow design spec whilst allowing for improvement and integration suggestions
* Take ownership & manage issues raised during the design process.
* Work closely with the build teams to maintain assembly process documentation, whilst maintaining a continuous improvement approach.
* Ensure all aspects of design meets customer manufacturing and service requirements.
* Support in the agreement on and support in implementing design changes according to the change management procedure.
* Support the development and integration of associated components into the engine design
* Support design validation (DVP) especially with regards to design for manufacture and quality assurance
