My client is an established underwriter, initially established in 2005, they were acquired by a large insurer in 2017 and are now one of 120 locations spread across 30 countries in the UK & Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, making them one of the largest organisations of their type in the world.
The role in question is based on the outskirts of Guildford in a busy open-plan office.The role will involve a varied range of responsibilities, providing updates to both
Insured and Insurers. You will also provide administrative support to all loss adjusters and so it's require you have e
xcellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise using your initiative.
Responsibilities
• Typing of reports and correspondence for Loss Adjusters from audio dictation or proof reading and formatting reports typed by the Adjusters.
• Setting up reports in the database for the Adjusters to populate and submit for checking.
• Managing the submission and approval process for reports and issuing finished reports to the relevant parties.
• Preparation of interim and final fee invoices in accordance with the relevant procedure.
• Answer telephone calls, taking responsibility for and dealing with enquiries.
• Taking new instructions direct from insurers, creating new claim folders, and ensuring that all details are obtained and recorded accurately.
• Management of claim folders to ensure all documents are updated and complete and responsibility for uploading all necessary attachments to the database.
• Sending instructions to and liaising with suppliers.
• Making travel arrangements for adjusters as required.
• Assist adjusters with diary management and support them to ensure SLA’s and deadlines are met.
• Ensuring the Adjusters keep timesheets updated on a monthly basis and for any WIP exercises.
• Produce interim fees if these are not dictated by the adjuster.
• Chasing payments from insurers.
If you haven't guessed the skills required are strong IT skills including, accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to create quality presentations of typed reports.
Be able to plan and manage your workload to ensure deadlines are met, and be able to work under pressure with conflicting demands.
Finally be confident and articulate with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, whilst displaying a high level of customer service and customer empathy.
The role is a Hybrid role 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
Hours 9.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday
