Senior Electronics Engineer Job in Cambridge
Job Description
Jonathan Lee Recruitment are Looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer for a Global Telecommunication company based in Cambridge, you will be involved in board level designs for the whole life-cycle of product developments. Reporting to the Baseband Team Leader, you will have a strong background in digital circuit design from initial concept, specification and design through to software and systems integration, test and manufacture.
Main responsibilities will include:
Requirements analysis and understanding including liaison with stakeholders
Technical design and specification of digital baseband circuitry for radio terminal products
– Complete subsystem design and implementation, including ownership
– Integration with RF, Audio and MMI subsystems
– Component specification and sourcing
– Design, integration and test documentation
– Definition, implementation and supervision of PCB layout rules and constraints
Resolution of design and integration issues
Interaction with the Software team at device driver level (especially during bring-up phases)
Type approval support
Production technical support
Technical support to end customers
Progress reporting to project team and line manager
Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field Experience
Essential:
Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller designs
Experience with memory subsystems e.g. DDR, Nand, EMMC
Experience of communication interfaces and buses – USB, SPI, I2C
Low power circuit design for battery powered products
Experience interacting with Software teams at the device driver level
Design for EMC/ESD protection
Design for Manufacturing and Test
Desirable:
Design work relating to radio products
Experience of designing for signal integrity
Experience with signal and power integrity simulation tools (e.g. Hyperlynx, Sigrity, ADS etc.)
Experience of high-speed communications interfaces and buses – e.g. Gigabit Ethernet, USB3.0, PCle etc.
Design for medium volume product manufacture
