Application Support Analyst – Retail Systems
Leavesden – 12 Month Contract
£300 – £345 per day – Inside IR35
Our client, a global media and entertainment company, are looking for a talented support specialist to join them on an initial 12-month contract basis. The successful applicant will be joining a team who look after the tech that supports their Global Retail, eCommerce and Tours businesses. They are responsible for all operational, digital, marketing, and guest-facing technologies, as well as serving as the central hub for all technical support activities. The team is also responsible for the support of Warehouse and security software.
The Role
Key technical support resource for the successful day to day operational running of the tour. Strong knowledge of POS and desktop hardware support and network troubleshooting essential. Passionate about providing the best technical support to ensure that guests to the tour have a seamless experience. Able to work under pressure to changing priorities. Experience supporting ticketing and retail systems in a large entertainment venue is preferred.
Solid understanding of application infrastructure and system integrations is required, whilst strong experience in as many of the following is highly desirable: Ticketing, Websites, eCommerce, Retail POS, Warehousing, Customer Service and Analytics. Experience in operating within PCI landscapes will be considered advantageous.
Skills Needed
Attention to detail, ability to use knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problems
Some SQL experience desirable
Experienced in investigating issues with complex transactional systems
Some experience and knowledge of SAP system
Understanding of financial accounting principles preferred.
Some experience of maintaining and installing POS hardware
Using our helpdesk system ensure that all service requests are triaged, answered, and resolved in a timely manner to meet our SLA`s
Perform Regular Health checks of systems being proactive as possible to avoid incidents
Work with our vendors to log service tickets and follow up on incidents to ensure we are meeting SLA`s for service.
Be a resource for the project team where required (hardware build/Testing/application support)
Complete regular PCI Audits, meticulous with your detail of this task
Logging of all assets into a computerised system
Assist with regular reviews of user's access to the various systems
Perform System upgrades where necessary, lead on the testing for these upgrades, partnering with the business for user acceptance testing.What else will you be doing?
In-depth understanding of Business Processes & Requirements and effectively inputting those into the internal global strategy for appropriate technical solutions
Assist with any data protection reviews or requests to remove data as instructed by our legal teams
Forming part of service team that support priority issues and on an "on call" basisEducation & Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar — strongly preferred
