Description
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the Finance Function. This role presents an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow within the role.
Key responsibilities include:
Timely and accurate submission of all statutory financial and management accounting and reporting.
Timely and accurate reporting and consolidation of Budget.
To be responsible for the Purchase and Sale Ledger
Ensure all Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis
Month end/year end reporting including completing monthly management accounts, operating expenses, group projects, exceptional items and miscellaneous income and expense.
Communicate on a regular basis with Director
Developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
Ensures all Balance Sheet recs are completed on a monthly basis
Pro-actively support the communication of deviations from expected financial performance
Support the preparation of the annual Budget
Drive best practice across the business
Provide support on any ad-hoc reporting and analysis requested by the businesses
Prepare VAT returnsProfile
Working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA advantageous or QBE.
Experience using SAGE would be advantageous.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
They will have the ability to prioritise and organise their workload and commitment to meet financial deadlines.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Self-directed and self-motivated. Strong interpersonal skills
