Job Description

Client Engagement Associate

Salary – up to £35k + Bonus and Benefits, depending on experience.

Locations – Canary Wharf/Hybrid 3:2 days flexibility of office/home working

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE

The Client Engagement Associate is a unique position to provide client servicing support for two Financial Advisers (Wealth Managers). This role will be crucial to maintaining an excellent client relationship with several high value and long-standing clients transferring within the business. Working alongside multiple senior stakeholders the role will play a key role in delivering the Practice’s “Brand Promise” to clients and ensuring the client experience is in line with our commitments.

The successful candidate will liaise directly with senior Advisers / Partners and support with client queries and priorities. The Client Engagement Associate will support with client engagement initiatives to provide a more bespoke client experience, taking the initiative and proactiveness to ensure all client reports and communications are to the highest levels of standard and learning in-depth the technical requirements to service client needs.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking for a platform to develop core advisory and servicing skills. There is the potential to transition to a Junior Adviser, subject to strong performance and attaining the relevant professional qualifications.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

Client Relationship Management

* Liaising with clients to schedule client meetings

* Preparing for all aspects of client meetings in advance and ensuring Advisers have the relevant briefing packs

* Applying technical knowledge, and using cashflow modelling and analytics tools to support client meeting preparation and follow up

* Identifying new business opportunities to support business growth – including referrals from existing clients

* Updating fact find documents based on written and dictated meeting notes from Financial Advisers

* Producing client quarterly investment reporting and auditing reporting with input from different teams

* Generating fund-switch letters to support ongoing client servicing

Case Administration

* Liaising with Admin Centre and dealing with administrative queries across internal and third party administrative teams

* Managing all compliance requirements including ID and verification, AML and KYC in line with regulatory requirements

* Preparing the schedule of activities at key points in the year including Tax Year End and the Financial Year End

Client Meeting & General Administration

* Scheduling client meetings (incl. room bookings and travel arrangements), and managing client commitments in Advisers’ diaries

* Preparing client meetings, managing dictations and note taking, and maintaining relevant client records on CRMs and key systems

* Issuing key client communications (e.g. wealth accounts)

PERSON SPECIFICATION

* Experience of working within financial services preferable but not essential

* Interested in pursuing Level 4 Diploma to understand technical aspects of client servicing duties

* Demonstrable experience of building rapport and interacting with clients effectively

* Confidence and ability to influence clients, senior stakeholders and colleagues

* Ability to proactively use initiative to problem solve and anticipate next steps

* Ability to work independently with minimum guidance

* A driven and ambitious individual with a focus on client service and supporting a high-performance culture

* Strong academics and proficient at all IT packages

* Strong numerical and written communication skills

* Excellent organisational and administration skills, managing multiple senior stakeholder diary and report requirements

* Adaptable to change management plans and advocate to business initiatives
