Your Team
You’ll be working within Wealth Management UK IT, on project ‘Avenir’, which aims to implement a new front-office platform within Europe, starting with WM Monaco. You will form a new high performing scrum team based in London, responsible for green-field development of a new Integration Layer. This Integration Layer will provide the backbone of data and service exchange between the new front -office platform, back-office platforms, global applications and local applications.
This project has senior business and IT stakeholder visibility and support, with ambitious innovation goals and significant business benefits.
Background
As an Azure integration developer, you will be contributing to the development of integration solutions for a large integration project between an Azure cloud technology system and our on prem systems. You will need to bring together your experience across the Microsoft cloud product family and experience in software development languages such as Java. Within this role, you will be providing on-going development, design and support for code deployments into Azure.
Principal objectives
* To be able to develop integration components for the solution, which provides integration between CRM and e-Banking digital portals and on-premise line of business applications, transferring data from one system to another, transforming data where needed.
* Working closely with project team to develop, design and deliver integration solutions with Azure cloud services and/or code developed in Java.
* Able to develop integration specifications to address systems interface requirements.
* Ensuring system components adhere to non-functional requirements such as security, resilience, performance, on-going maintenance.
* Develop and execute test plans to ensure integration tasks are performing as required, taking into consideration.
* Estimating integrations and customizations, creating technical documentation whilst supporting and working closely with other members of the agile team.
Candidate requirements
* Experience developing web services and/or file based integration solutions.
* Proficient skills in Java (with at least 4 years in Java 8+).
* Java framework experience (e.g. Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security).
* Development experience in Azure (Azure Data Factory/Azure Functions/Data Bricks)
* Experience implementing batch file integration solutions.
* Experience using messaging patterns such as Kafka, JMS, and/or MQ.
* Designing interface data specification using RAML, XML, JSON, CSV, Flat files.
* Instrumenting code for availability monitoring, performance and application logging.
* TDD/BDD/Junit 5/Mocking
* Git, CI/CD pipelines – GitLab/Jenkins
* Must be a quick learner and willing to adapt to new technologies.
* Should be passionate and have a positive can do attitude.
* A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies. That is, working agile on new features and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
* Hands-on experience with Azure integration development (ADF, Azure Data Bricks, AKS, Functions, Web apps, etc.)
* Experience with event driven solutions using Azure Event Hub, Kafka or other similar technologies.
* Experience in investment banking or financial services.
