Bid Writer

Our client, a leading national business water retailer is looking to hire an experienced Bid Writer to join their team.
As Bid Writer you will be responsible for writing bespoke proposals to both existing and prospective customers. The role will work closely with the Bid Manager, Data Analyst and sales teams to understand customer needs and write both Private and Public Sector proposals that meet and exceed customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of bid processes and will ensure that all client questions have been answered as fully as possible, giving the company the best possible chance of success. The role will continually review, develop and enhance the company's bid process so that it is efficient and scalable.
Key Requirements:
* Coordinate the whole bid process, including liaising with various internal departments and chairing internal bid meetings.
* Produce high quality written responses to formal tender enquiries in an efficient, timely and professional manner.
* Write and develop case studies to strengthen tender submissions.
* Work with the sales team to develop the optimum 'sales pitch' for each opportunity.
* Work with the Marketing team to develop new visual content.
* Produce bespoke responses for both Public Sector and I&C customers.
* Manage multiple bids with varying deadlines.
* Work under time pressure to achieve all bid deadlines.
Skills Required:
* A persuasive writing expert who is customer focused.
* An excellent communicator (both written and verbal), with strong influencing skills.
* Organised and motivated with a positive "can do" attitude.
* Committed to delivering to deadlines.
* Accurate with strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.
* IT literate and highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and InDesign.
