Business Design Analyst Job in Scotland
Job Description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with various offices across Scotland, is currently looking to recruit a Business Design Analyst for an initial 6 month contract with option to extend on a rate of £400-£425/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances this role will be remote based for the duration of the contract.
Responsibilities:
-Work as a Business Design Analyst forming part of a delivery team to review the business management function in the context of the Future Structures Review, 5 Year Business Plan and Target Operating Model and make recommendations and set out a business case for change, including in consultation with HR any proposed changes to the staffing structure with associated job descriptions if any new roles are considered necessary.
Essential Skills:
-Ability to interact, negotiate and build strong working relationships with senior managers to inform and influence decision making
-Ability to provide evidence-based assessments and recommendations for improvement from the assurance of programmes and projects
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and stakeholder engagement skills including experience in developing concise and accurate briefings for senior management
-Analyse information to provide an understanding of the key requirements of the business.
-Apply learning from analysis to project delivery to meet business requirements.
-Ability to produce concise and accurate written and graphical reports
-Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft Products (including Visio)
-Highly organised and able to meet demanding deadlines in a pressured environment.
-Self-starter, confident and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to tight deadlines with plenty of initiative.
-Experience in undertaking business analyst activity using formal methodologies and approaches, including collecting and analysing complex data in order to provide concise and meaningful recommendations.
-Experience in supporting the development of business requirements.
-Experience in reviewing and enhancing business cases and detailed design documents throughout the project lifecycle.
-Experience in formulating detailed operating model design artefacts, such as governance models, organisational structures, process maps and policies.
-Experience of working with various stakeholders within a large organisation including managing expectations and dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities.
-Professional Project Management qualification by examination (e.g. Prince 2)
-Experience of building confidence with stakeholders and relationships at all levels.
