Buyer required in North Kent.
We are looking for a Buyer who is keen to establish themselves with a business and progress their career. Are you a Buyer looking for a new contract in Kent? We have a new freelance Buyer vacancy with a great company available.

Duration: 12 months (Temp to Perm)
Hourly rate: £22 – £26 per hour (dependent upon experience)

The company
A residential developer operating across the UK that builds everything from apartments and starter homes through to five and six bedroom family houses. Offering smaller schemes of around 100 dwellings up to urban extensions with thousands of homes and supporting infrastructure. They also work with local authorities to provide high quality, affordable housing.
The role
Due to a large number of upcoming schemes the need has arisen to recruit for a Buyer to support the exisiting Buying team. Reporting into a Senior Buyer your duties will include:
Preparation of request for proposal and quotations.
Evaluation of supplier responses.
Requisitions.
Ordering replacement items.
Responsible for all aspects of plant hire.
Placing bulk orders with suppliers.
Collation of KPI data including rebate information.
Customer Care orders.
Preparation of monthly reports.
Ensuring the COINS system is kept upto date and all information is recorded accurately.
About you
Previous experience of procurement processes ideally within a construction environment.
Demonstrate a proven track record in negotiation and process compliance.
Previous experience working as a Buyer for a residential developer is desirable but not essential.
Hard working and keen to impress.
Driven and able to work to deadlines.
