Stourbridge area
Permanent – Full Time
£15.00 – £17.00 per hour
Our client based in the Stourbridge area, are industry specialists in setwork projects working with clients throughout the country, producing project specific installations are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Carpenter/Bench Joiner to join the team on a permanent basis.

£15.00 – £17.00 per hour, depending upon experience
Core working hours: Mon- Fri – 7:00am to 4:30pm (45 hours per week)
On Site work guaranteed 12 hours pay, even when shorter days worked
Site transport provided
Site accommodations and expenses per day (capped)

Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Carrying out a site survey, including taking measurements
The job will involve working in the workshop and also on- site (often in London but can also be in other parts of the country), this can be for periods of 1 to 2 weeks
Follow drawings from design to cutting and creating the part to the installation on site – this role provides the opportunity to follow the project from start through to completion and installation on site at some prestigious locations.
Work on-site as part of the installation team ensuring that all setwork is completed to the highest quality and as per the project specifications
The Successful Candidate
Ability to read drawings for the construction projects in the works and onsite
Experience in operating various machinery and be knowledgeable and skilled in bench joinery/carpentry
Must be able to undertake specific instructions and work at a fast pace while keeping attention to detail
Must be able to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
Must possess a passion for carpentry and a willingness to learn more skills
The applicant is required to hold a valid Driving Licence
Security vetting may be required for working in some of the venues
Good communication skills are crucial as dealing with customers on-site in a professional manner is of the upmost importance
Previous experience shop fitting or from within a bench joinery company is essential
Ideally possessing own tools
Have the flexibility to work away from home Monday to Friday as and when required
