We are actively supporting them in the recruitment of Chemotherapy trained nurses who can deliver chemotherapy care to patients across the UK.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The overall responsibility of this position is to deliver oncological nursing care to chronically or critically ill patients. You will administer chemotherapy treatment, implement new methods of treatment and monitor patients progress while creating a friendly and supportive environment for patients under your care. Working as a chemotherapy nurse your main responsibility is to administer cytotoxic drugs to patients as and when required per agreed care plan. You will work closely with your patients and ensure close monitoring to avoid/predict deterioration and manage their care appropriately. Working on this autonomous role you will be required to adhere to strict infection control standards on a regular basis and have accurate record keeping.
REQUIREMENTS
Registered General Nurse with NMC pin number
Experience in Oncology nurse role with cannulation and assessment experience
Qualification in administration of chemotherapy, SACT qualification ideally
Be a caring and compassionate nurse with a strong attention to detail
