Job Description
Civil Structural Engineer (Research, Testing & Assessment of Structural products and systems) – Leeds, West Yorkshire (with option of hybrid/homeworking 2-3 days per week)
A new vacancy for a Civil Structural Engineer with leading international provider of product testing, assessment & approval services to the Construction industry. Reporting in the company's new offices in Leeds, West Yorkshire, the Civil Structural Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting assessments on a wide range of construction products & systems relating to Civil/Structural Engineering. You will also be involved in preparing contract offers and estimates for the assessment of these products and systems. The Civil Structural Engineer will be required to research and investigate aspects of construction product and system performance, working as part of a team of specialists and contributing to team and individual targets & objectives. The role will be primarily office-based but wth the option of working remotely up to 2-3 days per week.
Key candidate requirements:
– Good understanding Civil/Structural Engineering (esp. in areas such as Facades, Cladding, Curtain Walling or Roofing).
– Knowledge of relevant building regulations & standards.
– Experience working with construction products and systems.
– Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) with in-depth understanding of relevant engineering or science discipline
