Job Description
Client Administration – Defendant Litigation Manchester City Centre – REF: (phone number removed)
The Role
A leading Commercial law firm with a formidable reputation within the Defendant Litigation field is looking to recruit a client administrator.
This is a key role within the firm and strong administration skills and high attention to detail are required.
The Responsibilities
Undertaking conflict checks across all systems and open files, acknowledging instructions to clients within SLAs;
Collating initial information received from clients and attaching case plans where appropriate, to determine which workflow is triggered (e.g. fast track/multi-track/small claim);
Logging files out to costs, chase for progress updates and log back in by inputting all cost breakdowns on the case management systems;
Scanning of files where necessary and pre-archiving processes (including liaising with fee earners to request bills for remaining WIP);
Chasing cheques in line with SLAs;
Miscellaneous post sorting and delivery, miscellaneous telephone call's point of contact;
Responding to queries received in the client admin email inbox;
Archiving all closed files, carrying out checks on the files to ensure all balances are nil, MI has been completed and the CRU/NHS obligations have been dealt with;
Liaising with Solicitors and Policyholders by telephone;
Managing new client creation – arranging for the set-up of rate models, set up in case management and billing systems and liaising with Accounts regarding rates;
General administration responsibilities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate should have a strong administration background from either the professional services or legal field and solid GCSE grades. In return the firm offers excellent opportunities for career growth and development.
