Job Description
Job Title – Electrician
Salary – £29,500-£35,500 per annum
Working Hours – Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Location – University of Oxford (Southwell Building)

The Thermofluids Institute – based in the Southwell Building – is one such facility and offers students the chance to practically demonstrate their learning through prototyping and developing designs, concepts, and ideas. The Institute workshop is the hub of this facility, and requires dedicated staff members to keep things running smoothly in a range of different capacities.
Role Overview
This is a facilities maintenance role, and the successful candidate would be responsible for the continual upkeep of the Thermofluids Institute building.
This will include planned and reactive maintenance on the following –
Lighting
Electrical Panels
Lifts
Switchboards
Fire Alarms
Air conditioning units
Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this application, the candidate will need to have the following experience:
17th / 18th Edition qualification is essential
Extensive experience as a facilities electrician/technician is preferable
Experience working in an academic context is desirable
