Job Description
We are working with a Leading Travel Healthcare Provider with over 150 clinics In London / Nationwide to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join a Travel Clinic located in Ashford, Kent.
Permanent, Full-time (37.5h per week), Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
Clinical Lead Nurse Job Role:
You will be delivering evidence based care for patients with travel and sexual health screening requirement to prevent travel related, seasonal infectious and tropical illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the delivery of travel nursing and healthcare screening.
* Facilitation of training, clinical supervision and staff appraisals
* Assist in nursing staff recruitment, undertaking induction and allocating mentor for new staff
* Optimize clinical cover and maintain operational consistency through staff rotas
* Ensure accurate and comprehensive record keeping is maintained for all patient consultations, formal and informal clinical supervision sessions, staff training, recruitment, and incidents and complaints.
* Ensure that mandatory training is maintained and supports staff with travel and healthcare screening development.
* Assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate vaccine, screening and treatment programmes that promote the health, safety, and well-being of patients.
Ideal Candidate:
– Registered Nurse with evidence of on-going professional development
– Yellow Fever trained
– Independent prescriber
– Experience of travel health
– Experience of sexual health is desirable, however training will be provided
– BCG Experience
– Teaching and supporting staff development
– Phlebotomy skills -Demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and co-operation, and maintain high levels of competence, judgement, integrity, and personal and professional accountability. – IT Skills -previous experience of travel health databases (preferable). -Effective Communication and able to problem solve and use initiative.
