The Role
Superb opportunity to join an international firm with innovation at its core. Our client utilises a systemic, holistic approach to forming open, transparent, and collaborative relationships with clients and staff alike.
Due to the development and expansion of the firm’s trade practice, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced Associate to bolster its well-established platform.
The ideal candidate will have experience in international trade, specifically, antidumping and countervailing duty and other trade remedy proceedings before the US Department of Commerce and US International Trade Commission. Applicants must be admitted in D.C or taking steps to achieve admission.
The role involves counseling clients worldwide on customs and other trade matters to ensure compliance with relevant customs/import laws. You will be working through challenging issues that arise relating to tariff classification, valuation, rules of origin, and country of origin marking.
The firm is based in Washington D.C. and the location is easily commutable from the surrounding boroughs.

The Candidate
US Citizen or able to work in the US without employer sponsorship
Attorney admitted in Washington D.C with 3 to 5 years PQE
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing responses and submissions before the DOC and ITC
Foreign language skills are a plus.
Strong academics
International and domestic travel may be required
Computer literacy together with excellent communication skills are also essential
Ability to work to deadlines, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
