CNC Programmer/Operator
Permanent Role, up to £14p/hr DOE, Days, Mon-Fri, 39hrs per week

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator to work on behalf of their client, a Precision Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Leeds.
The successful candidate will ideally be Apprentice Trained, or time served. However, my client will look at candidates from a Mechanical/Engineering background who are wanting and willing to put the time to learn new skills and who are looking for a career.
Key requirements include:
-Able to Programme CNCs from scratch, Set and Operate
-Knowledge of either CNC Turning or Milling
-Experience with Siemens and/or Prototrak controls would be beneficial
-Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass and Plastics
-Machining 1 off pieces up to batches of 1,000
-Ability to use measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometres
-Manual Milling and/or Turning experience would be advantageous
Day to day duties of this role include:
-Programming, setting and operating CNC’s to produce accurate, quality components on time
-Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
-Managing your work schedule
-Self inspecting all manufactured components
-Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards
You will be contracted to 39hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4.30pm with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday. The Pay Rate for the role is experience dependant ranging from £11p/hr for those with little experience up to £14p/hr.
