Job Description

Due to organic growth, this long-established employer recently moved into a purpose-built facility in order to bring multiple sites under one roof. As their growth and demand are showing no signs of slowing down, they are actively searching for a CNC turner to join their business on a permanent basis.
Based in Huddersfield, located closely to the M62 motorway, for the successful CNC Turner this will be a simple commute from surrounding areas such as: Huddersfield, Halifax, Elland, Bradford, Wakefield and Leeds.
The Role:
Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company
Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times
Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork
Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved
The CNC turner ideal candidate:
Ideally hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or Machining (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC, HND or similar) – NOT ESSENTIAL
Have experience working as a CNC Turner, Turner, Programmer, Setter/Operator within a high precision machining environment
Be capable of editing & adjusting CNC programs using Fanuc controls
Be able to read, interpret and work directly from engineering drawings & diagrams
Must possess a positive working attitude
Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detailCNC turner Salary & Package
Salary: £35,000
Location: HUDDERSFIELD
Night Shift: 6:00pm to 10:00Am
(early finish on Fridays) 5:00pm – 10:30pm
