Job Description
Coating Technician
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £25K
Role objectives:
* To assist in the operation of the coating section and to provide direct support to
* the Coating Manager in the production of high-quality thin film lubrication of
* components
* To provide input and support into the continued efficiency of the section regarding
* its processes and standards and to continually improve quality
* To promote and market all facets of our client’s services during interfaces
* with clients and colleagues in both coating and non-coating related work
* To assist in the maintenance of customer relationships
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Assistance in the continuous monitoring of lab conditions which can impact on the quality of coatings including routine preventative maintenance of coating and precision cleaning facilities.
* Cleaning of precision components, including operation of specialist cleaning facility to approved procedures.
* Proficiency in both solid and liquid lubrication of space and non-space components.
* Competency in the operation of all coating facilities in accordance with approved procedures.
* Assembly of components, mostly solid lubricated bearings, and testing in clean-room vacuum test
* facilities following strict guidelines of approved procedures.
* Packaging of components for shipment to customer to ESTL’s high standards, following the guidelines of approved packaging procedure to maintain the integrity of lubricated components
* Being familiar and compliant with relevant H&S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team.
* Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Suitable knowledge in science, mechanics and a high degree of manual dexterity
* One years’ experience in an engineering/production field.
* Evidence of a structured approach to work, including the planning and implementations of tasks and clear presentation of results
* Ability to think in an innovative manner
* The ability to balance the demands of multiple/conflicting project requirements
