Scena is one of the UK’s leading creative construction, set design, props, staging, exhibition and manufacture companies, with over 37 years in the business.
Based in south London, we design and build sets for television, film, museums, theatres, conferences, exhibitions and the music industry worldwide.
We offer a wide range of services, from basic scenery contractor to principal exhibition contractor. As well as management, we have an in-house draughting team who can produce detailed technical drawings (using CAD software) for even the most creative designs.
As a result of continued success, we need experienced Production Managers to oversee our projects. Due to the specialist nature of our work, experience in or knowledge of a similar creative industry is as important as technical design and joinery skills.
Experience and Responsibilities
* 3 years or more of Project Management experience in a fast-moving dynamic industry
* Experience of working in the museum, events, television, film, theatre environment or similar industry
* A solid background in Technical Design and Joinery
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time and budget
* Ability to manage a budget throughout a project life cycle
* Experience in estimating joinery projects
* Managing & delivering project plans
* Experience in Client Management – liaising with the client as required to provide updates on project progress
* Eager to learn and develop your career in an exciting industry
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
* Be flexible to travel as required and occasional international travel
* Able to commute to Croydon in South London (postcode CR0 4RR)
Standard Hours
* Mon – Fri 8.00am – 5.00pm.
Salary and Benefits
* Remuneration negotiable and subject to experience
* Additional overtime rate when working 40 hours or more
