Job Description
Design Engineer. Our client a specialist in the technical & electronic sectors are looking for an experienced mechanical design engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Over 2 million people rely on this companies technology every day!
Design Engineer duties include:
* To generate all design related drawings in either 2D or 3D, delivering Quality through design, ensuring repeatable alignment to specifications.
* Develop design documentation and requirements specifications for product range and assigned projects
* To implement engineering change requests from Engineering, Production, Quality or Sales relating to the mechanical enclosures and steelwork.
* Ability to analyse and resolve design related issues in a timely manner
* Drive manufacturing efficiencies (LEAN) within operations, delivering optimised and appropriately costed designs
* Provision of highly responsive and expert day to day support
* To support new product design with hands on workshop time – prototyping
Design Engineer skills required:
* Highly skilled on Autocad 2D and 3D design package
* Is innovative and is a leader of change
* Uses their creative mind with real interest to solving complex engineering problems
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, full-time permanent days
