DevOps Engineer | AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform | SaaS Scale-Up, Remote Role
*100% remote anywhere in the UK for this role if you want, or feel free to work in their cool east London office with all the bells, whistles, pool tables etc.*
I am working with a fast-growing and award-winning mobile development SaaS company who are looking to hire a DevOps Engineer. My client currently has 135 people (doubling in size in the last 12 months) and they are looking to double their headcount in the next year. You will be in a team of 6 DevOps Engineers. They're working in a really good space providing mobile 'tech for good' globally. You will be getting out of bed with a 'spring in your step' working for this company on all levels, i.e. tech stack, culture, and ethics!
In this role, you will be building and scaling services in AWS and will work across technology teams to automate infrastructure and implement DevOps best practices – including configuration management and continuous integration/development.
Non-negotiables for success in this role:
AWS – solid experience
Kubernetes (EKS)
Terraform (IaC)Due to our client's rapid customer growth, new AWS environments are needed to be built for each of their customers. Currently, one huge AWS environment needs to be broken down into multiple clusters and VPCs. So each client will ultimately have their bespoke architecture inside the AWS ecosystem for each client, complete with EKS clusters that are self-running. A tidy little project of work to get started with!
Responsibilities:
Scaling AWS infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines
Working with containerisation technologies
Developing monitoring systemsTech stack:
AWS experience
Terraform for IaC
Containerisation experience (Docker & Kubernetes)
CI/CD experience (Jenkins is being replaced with GitHub actions
General scripting knowledge (Python, Bash etc.)
Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Bit of Ansible kicking around
