AWS DevOps Engineer
My client is an online retail & social marketplace curator – giving international coverage of retail trends to huge numbers of users across a variety of platforms. Creators, influencers and brand ambassadors utilise the wide variety of products within an all-encompassing application that enables interactions on a huge scale and indexes useful content from sources across the internet. Their exceptional technology teams create high-calibre software in a local environment and leverage their development and operational expertise to continuously produce market leading software.
Must haves:
* 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps role
* Experience working with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies
* Knowledge of a variety of AWS services, including Ec2, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda etc.
* Experience building highly available distributed systems
* Experience scripting in Bash and programming knowledge with at least one of; Java, Kotlin, Python, C#, Ruby, Node.js, Golang, C++
* Kubernetes and Docker experience
* An understanding of horizontal scalability
* Ansible, Puppet or Chef experience
* Database and data storage experience with at least one of: SQL, MySQL, Server, Redis, ElasticSearch.
DevOps will be your passion and a background in software development will be likely – but demonstrable experience having impacted DevOps teams in similar environments is the key criteria. Remote work with occasional (once monthly) visits to London office, 6 month extendable contract
