Job Description
A leading university south of the river in London is looking for an experienced and motivated EA to provide executive support to the Head of School on a one-year FTC.
The role requires someone who can provide high-quality, efficient support to the Head of School and School Manager, who are both responsible for the School’s strategic and operational leadership.
The post holder is expected to prioritise and manage the Head of School’s schedule and act as the first point of contact for the Head of School for staff and students along with people based outside the university.
Job Responsibilities
* EA duties to the Head of School including diary, travel, accommodation and managing general correspondence
* Being the main point of contact for the Head of School and all his communications
* Managing budgets and expenses
* Providing recruitment support in conjunction with the School's HR
* Leading on specific projects, such as open days, away days etc
* Undertake any reasonable duties and projects as requested by the School Manager or academic lead. These will include School-specific duties, for example supporting specialist Centre, liaising with external bodies etc to underpin the School’s core activity
* Organise and support meetings, workshops, roundtables and visits by external/international delegations, including contacting speakers and attendees, arranging logistics, preparing the agenda, writing the minutes and coordinating follow-up action as required
Ideal Candidate
* Educated to degree level
* Have strong EA experience
* Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written)
* A background in education
* Experience working in a science environment (not essential)
