Job Description
A leading engineering company specialising in the utilities sector is currently on the look for an Electrical controls engineer to cover sites across Wales.
The company is currently undergoing significant expansion meaning there will be exciting progression opportunities long-term.
On offer is a salary of up to £42,000 doe plus company vehicle and unique beneifts.
Responsibilities:
* Provide site surveying, estimation, design & commissioning support as required
* Assisting Project Management staff with technical support on electrical / controls works as required
* Producing and developing project-related correspondence, drawings / schematics, design documents, FDS, O&M’s, commissioning plans, technical deliverables and documentation
* Undertake / assist with commissioning of electrical / controls related projects as required
* Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting on control systems and electrical infrastructure
* Carry out electrical installation work to BS7671.
* Carry out installation and commissioning of a variety of instrumentation systems, including pressure, level, temperature and flow.
* Some familiarity with PLC’s, HMI’s, Telemetry & Control Systems
* Ability to fault find in control panels with / without electrical schematics
* Conduct MCC wiring modifications
* Liaison with client / supply chain representatives for information exchange
Candidate requirments:
* Approved recognised apprenticeship to level 3.
* Inspection and test 2391 or equivalent.
* Ability to read understand electrical drawings and technical data.
* Ability to make panel modifications including relay logic.
* Ability to understand PLC I/O inputs/outputs.
* Experience working with SWA and screened cabling.
* Experience with leading a team from a technical stand point.
* Experience working on MCC’s and permits requirements to carry out such tasks.
* Experience working to RAMS and using own initiative to complete Projects.
* Flexible travelling and working away
