We have partnered with a one of the world's leading providers of insurance and financial services globally. They have a team of nurses who provide a first-class service in medical assistance, and support millions of customers not just in the UK but all over the world. They are looking to recruit several nurses to work part time based in their Surrey office (with the option for hybrid working) as part of their International Emergency Medical Team.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The overall responsibility working in this role is to provide medical assistance over the phone to customers all over the world who are dealing with medical emergencies. Part of your role will involve gathering and providing suitable information on a wide variety of health-related queries using research based, factual and up to date medical information. You will carry out assessments, offer advice and guidance from a clinical perspective whilst also creating action plans and recommendations on how to proceed. Part of your role will be to anticipate & approve estimated costs for our clients, monitor and notify and update clients regularly. Your role as an Emergency Medical Nurse may also require you to be involved in the repatriation of customers in extreme emergency situations, coordinating with other departments to ensure the customer is always receiving the best quality service and advice. On occasion you will also be asked to support on delivering high quality training and advice to medical assistance operations personnel and medical repatriation crew.
REQUIREMENTS
Registered RGN with NMC pin number
At least 2 years' experience working in an acute setting ideally ICU/A&E/CCU/AAU
Passion for worldwide travel
Sufficient medical knowledge, travel insurance knowledge and worldwide repatriation knowledge to enable you to make decisions, according to set protocols, on behalf of the duty MO.
Super-organised with the ability to work under pressure and to customer deadlines.
Bi-lingual would be an advantage
