And if you're an experienced Energy Forecasting professional looking to provide support to the UK Group on Risk Management of Energy & Non-Energy Commodities within an established brand, this role will suit you perfectly.

What will you be doing?

This role is responsible for managing the Day Ahead – Within Day optimisation of the fleet and associated imbalance exposure, with analysis including GB power market developments and European energy markets primary data (gas, power, coal and carbon) and impact hedging of ~150MW UK Power Portfolio by providing insightful analysis

You will manage the development of Power Generation Forecasting model (imbalance management) and run fundamental power price scenarios & Stack Modelling, becoming an Authorised Trader on behalf of Veolia (Depending on Experience).

By supporting PPA negotiations, implementation and governance, and supporting the Risk Committee decisions and revenue stream reporting you will help the business make the right decisions, as well as assist in implementation of risk tools, new trading incentives and procedures.

What are we looking for?

You will have previous, proven knowledge of the GB electricity and natural gas markets, and experience of qualitative and quantitative analysis including forecasting cashout being proficient in Excel and Python.

A sound level of proficiency in Databases, Reporting and Procedures, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also key.
