Road Freight Export Planner (Automotive Industry)
Staffordshire – Cannock
Mon – Fri 08:30 – 17:30
Negotiable (Depending on experience)
The Role
Due to recent growth, an excellent opportunity for an experienced Export Coordinator has become available. This is a great juncture for any individual looking to grow their career in Freight Forwarding and is especially interesting as the product is automotive, specifically luxurious car parts. This is a fast paced role and requires a constant attention to detail. The office is a bustling stretch with over 50 staff in house, though the Automotive Team is comprised of 9.
The Person
Ideally, the successful candidate will have European Road Freight experience with an export bias though my client is open to seeing candidates with experience in other modes of freight and those with import experience only. Computer literacy, strong customer service, being able to maintain focus under pressure are all a must in this demanding yet rewarding work environment.

Competitive salary
22 days holiday p/a + bank holidays, increase annually up to 26 days after 5 year's service.

Key Competencies
Organising collections from suppliers from all over the UK and Ireland.
Planning export trailers to Germany but also Czech Republic and Slovakia, with time sensitive multi-drop deliveries.
Utilising round trip trailers that are available within the contract but also sourcing one-way hauliers and negotiating spot rates when required.
Ensuring that trailers are planned in the most cost-effective way to maximise profitability.
Achieving strict delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
Preparing driver packs and paperwork for deliveries including all custom documentation requirements for drivers.
