Job Description
Pharmaceutical Company seeks an experienced Facilities Manager for its Hertfordshire manufacturing site.
About the role:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of the building and infrastructures to ensure all facilities are functioning optimally and safely. Act as key liaison with the building owner to evaluate, plan and implement site improvements, alterations and preventative maintenance for equipment and infrastructure
Key Accountabilities:
Managing budgets and accounts for the facility budget.
Ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations
Ensure management of general and preventative maintenance programs for equipment, buildings, and plant. All servicing shall be completed to schedule to ensure compliance to quality and environmental standards.
Identify and develop suitable contractors and equipment providers for necessary facilities improvement.
Work with and lead operations teams within the sycamore house activity to ensure compliance with operational process, risk assessments and cross containment strategy
Carry out routine tender processes to drive improvement in service contract pricing and support packages.
Schedule and ensure proper completion of work that may need to be undertaken by external contractors.
Lead the installation process for new equipment. This will include updating building plans and ensuring that the required services are in place, also coordinating delivery with equipment providers. Add to the maintenance schedule and create the appropriate support documentation for servicing.Skills and experience:
A minimum of 5+ years recent and relevant experience in a similar role
Experience of managing engineering maintenance activity within a multi tenanted facility
Responsibility for compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
University qualification in facilities management, engineering or building service management or a related discipline or equivalent
IOSH managing safely
Ability to understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.
Lead health and safety compliance through operating maintenance infrastructure and equipment
