Field Service Engineer Job in Melksham, Wiltshire
Job Description
We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join one of our clients on a permanent basis.
The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry.
Based remotely with a requirement to visit the various clients’ sites around the UK the role will involve working on the repair, fault finding, refurbishment, modification and installation of the companies’ products on their client’s machinery
The main duties will include
•Testing and fault finding on existing and new equipment
•Replacement of faulty components
•Repair of faulty equipment
•Re-build of equipment
•AC power circuit fault finding(400VAC)
•DC control circuit fault finding (24VDC and 110VDC)
•Refrigeration circuit fault finding
•Carry out all processes required to service refrigeration circuits, refrigerant recovery, pressure testing, evacuation and charging
•Carry out repairs to refrigeration pipework and hot work
The successful applicant will ideally be qualified to at least HNC or HND level in Electrical Engineering and be used to working in a hands on capacity, preferably in a service type role. In addition experience of working with PLC’s is also required Previous experience of working with refrigeration or HVAC systems would be useful as would an F-Gas qualification.
As this is a service role applicants must be prepared to work away from home for considerable periods of time as and when required
