Job Description
Role: Finance Assistant
Location: Birmingham – Hybrid working
Type: Temporary – Full Time
Duration: Three months
Hourly rate: £9 to £12 per hour plus holiday pay

Job Purpose:
Deliver an effective, efficient, accurate and customer focused finance operations service
Ensure transactions are completed in line with Financial Regulations, policy and procedureKey responsibilities for the Finance Assistant:
Responsible for supporting the accurate and timely delivery of Finance month-end activities in line with the published timetable
Supporting the preparation of nominal account reconciliations for review
Responsible for the accurate and efficient recording of operational transactions in both the sub ledger and the general ledger
Responsible for supporting the delivery of a quality and timely customer service with a continuous improvement ethos
Supporting the production of regular and ad hoc operational reports to Finance managers including completion of KPI's and team output
Responsible for resolution and response to queries and issues presented by finance colleagues, wider staff and key external stakeholders in a timely and customer-focused manner
Maintaining a basic knowledge and awareness of regulations, policies and processes, both internally and externally, relevant to the delivery of the Finance service
Support the proactive identification of innovative and creative new and improved processes that enhance the team's service.
Support the internal and external audit processes through the accurate and complete provision of supporting financial supporting documentationOur client is keen to hear from candidates that have experience in Finance and can travel into Birmingham up to three times a week.
