The ICM group are currently supporting a local, logistics business in their quest for a Senior Freight Operations Exec, due to rapid growth within the business. They are in the market for tenacious, driven and customer focused individual who has a proven track record within road freight/Transport
Our client operates in the logistics industry and have rapidly grown into a global brand. They are a market leader within the middle east and are listed on the DFM. They are now looking to experience the same level of Growth within the UK and they need your help!!
As a Senior Freight Operations Exec your Key Responsibilities will include:
* 1. To handle all Life Science & Healthcare products, including licensed pharmaceuticals, compliantly. Ensuring that all Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines are adhered to without fail.
* To ensure your own personal training remains accurate and up to date
* Retrieving relevant data in relation to temperature and data and providing to the client
* Assist in delivering effective cool chain solutions based on individual client needs.
* Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively from receipt to resolution, escalating issues.
* Take ownership of investigations, root cause analysis and put in place Corrective and Preventative Actions
* Booking shipments with airlines and relevant ocean carriers
* Pricing and negotiate rates
* Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers
* Create and issue quotations to prospects, customers and overseas offices and ensure all quotations are followed up and actioned accordingly
* To maintain and pass KPI service standards
As a Senior Freight Operations you will have;
* working knowledge of the Pharmaceutical supply chain
* Working experience of rates and negotiating terms and will be numerate.
* you will have experience of route planning or great geographical knowledge
* You will have a strong account management background or a proven track record of working at a similar level, within the freight industry.
You will be able to work closely with the Business Development team and support the Key Account managers where necessary.
* You will have an understanding of GDP's.
Hours for the Senior Operations Exec are Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm and has a competitive salary of £35k per annum, plus some amazing benefits and career progression.
