Job Description
Full Stack Developer – Permanent – £55k per annum – Cheltenham
The Developer will be an integral part of our Digital Transformation Team we seek to transform our Central Functions, to implement an ERP solution and connect it with existing systems and other software requirements. This digital transformation roadmap, which aims to future-proof the Support Office through investing in new systems, simplifying core support office processes, and embedding digital ways of working.
Location: Cheltenham (approx. 2 days a week in the office, this will be project dependent)
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the complete lifecycle of information systems
Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues
Documentation of technical requirements in the interface context
Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as performance optimisation, security, and scalability
Build automated tests to support continuous delivery
Build scripts to automate the deployment of infrastructure as code, including containerisation technologies
Participate in support activities related to developed services/solutions, and potentially out-of-hours support
Manage and build technical environments (production, preview, and test environments), CI/CD pipeline, monitoring, and associated toolsets to support the needs of squads against agreed business priorities
Work closely with the QAs to ensure the products developed and connecting are stable and without bugs and in-line with product requirementsSkills/Experience:
Extensive programming skills and abilities in multiple coding languages and frameworks
Application Development – Java, .Net, scripting, SOAP/REST
Familiarity with databases and servers such as SQL and other server-side programming languages
Experience ERP implementations
Experience with API management/Gateway and microservices patterns
Digital Frontend Experience
Experience with Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) principles
Hands-on experience using DevOps tools – e.g. Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, Bitbucket
Excellent knowledge of two or more programming languages – e.g. C#, C++, Java, Python etc.
Experience shaping and building software from scratch
