We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, talented Geography teacher for a role starting in September 2022. This role would suit and experience teacher or an ECT. Their targets are ambitious! But for the right person this is a rare opportunity to make a real difference to our pupils.

As a successful candidate, you have the opportunity to join a successful 11-19 mixed academy located in Leicestershire. This academy joined a very successful Trust recently making this an exciting stage in the academy's development. This client is truly an inclusive academy, which serves the local community. Their students are educated in a safe, happy and welcoming environment so they can flourish. The client has strong pastoral systems in place and the care they offer all students is of the highest standard. Ofsted has recently inspected this client and they have been awarded Outstanding in all areas. Some of their comment emphasise students' achievement in Key Stages 3 and 4 is remarkable. The standards they reach overall at the end of Year 11 are higher than those of other students in the country even though the majority start at the academy with attainment that is below the national. Also, stating the Principal is an inspirational leader who has vision, passion and dedication. The other leaders in the academy follow the Principal's example. They are extremely committed to making sure that everything they do makes things better for students.

Responsible to Senior Leader and become part of the faculty. Some of the main duties of this role will be to plan lessons and Schemes of Work and to ensure the teaching material and methodologies develop the full potential of all students. You will recognise and develop a wide variety of practical, oral, personal, social and academic skills.

You are required to carry out the duties of a Teacher as set out in the Schoolteachers Pay and Conditions Document. You will also be a form Tutor and play a full part in the support of students. Full job description is available upon request.

You will need to:

Hold QTS Status or QTLS
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
