Head of Procurement to join a leading charity on a 6-month contract with the potential to be extended or made permanent. The Head of Procurement will be responsible for supporting the organisation in ensuring stakeholders that value for money is being achieved from the spend on suppliers.
Day to day responsibility will include:
Review and develop the organisation's procurement strategy, policies, and procedures.
Report to senior management and trustees on procurement and commercial performance including cost savings and the level of compliance with the policies.
Provide guidance and support to Executive Directors relating to the development and embedding of commercial practices within their respective teams and units.
Assist in the development of procurement and commercial practice.
Ensure the organisation meets the highest ESG standards and is aligned to ISO20400 Sustainable Procurement guidance.
Experience required:
A good technical experience of a range of procurement categories including marketing/advertising, creative and IT/Digital.
Team Management.
CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply).
Experience in delivering procurement projects globally.
Significant experience of reviewing of supplier contracts.
Strong influencing and change management skills.
Excellent communications skills and ability to manage senior stakeholders.
