Job Description

Health and Safety Manager 

About the role
 
We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager who can ensure everyone complies with health and safety laws. You will also be responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.
 
Health and Safety Manager’s Responsibilities

You must be able to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
You will interpret, build upon, and comply with company safety standards, and implement key Health and Safety objectives.
Within the team, you will take ownership in developing and managing an audit program and functioning non-conformance schedule full cycle.
To carefully maintain non-conformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions.
You will attend meetings, both internally and externally when requested. As well as making frequent site safety visits, and delivering tours, across London.
You will document safety events and activities with internal reporting, investigations, and audits.
You will help to mentor and assist with the development of future leaders both within, and outside, of the team.
You will manage administration of daily documentation and ensure your team does too.
You will develop new standards with improvements as needed and create testing through organising the trial of products or equipment.
You will identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance. The right candidate

Previous civils/utilities experience allowing you to understand the nature, and the importance, of the work being conducted.
Exceptionally organised, concise, and able to be critical of workmanship whilst maintaining a strong working relationship with contractors and employees.
You must present yourself as a leader of safety assurance and provide solutions with recommendations to ensure our standards are maintained.
You must have NEBOSH Construction certification as a minimum.
Strong IT skills.
You must have a desire to continue your education within Health and Safety and fully commit to the team in the new role.
You will have the ability to produce concise accurate presentations and company information.
You must have the ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.
Previous environmental management experience is desirable. Benefits
