Brief
Project Manager needed for a leading defence and security organisation with offices in the Portsmouth area who are looking to employ a number of experienced and well-rounded Junior Project Managers that takes pride in their work.
What the role of the Junior Project Manager entails:
Some of the main duties of the Junior Project Manager will include:
Provide general programme management assistance and support to the Control Account Managers (CAM) and other discipline line managers
Prepare project management information in support of the Project Manager as required
Deputise for the Project Manager as required
Support monthly reporting requirements in accordance with the project reporting lifecycle
Assist in the development and management of the support schedule, cost, risk and opportunity baseline
Support all reviews and audits including phase reviews and design reviews
What experience you need to be the successful Junior Project Manager:
Essential
A good knowledge of project management techniques including resource planning and management, cost capture, analysis and forecasting, schedule planning and tracking, Earned Value Management (EVM), risk and opportunity management and change management
Able to pursue best practice and align local processes and procedures as applicable
An understanding of Life Cycle ManagementDesirable
PMQ or equivalent experience
In order to be eligible for this role you will need to undergo Security Clearance Background Checks that require you to be a UK resident and UK passport holder.
