About you!
Experience of VAT returns, Intrastats, Annual Return, Banking, Management Reports, etc.
Understanding of and ability to apply U.K. GAAP
The Chartered Association of Certified Accounts (ACCA) or equivalent
Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems required
Excellent numeracy skills; ability to calculate prices and costs for price quotations and analyze sales data; ability to set up, calculate, monitor and analyze production costs, calculate landed and delivered cost
Strong problem-solving skills; data and digital fluency
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the division's accounting system (nominal ledger, purchase ledger, sales ledger) N/L, P/L, S/L accuracy, maintenance, control).
Produce and submit monthly management accounts
Prepare final annual accounts for auditors, liaises with other Managers to plan and coordinate audits, and deal with any issues arising during audit; file final results with Companies House
Responsible for day-to-day banking activities: monitoring balances to ensure necessary liquidity, foreign currency transfers, bank reconciliation, direct debits and standing orders, set-up of beneficiaries and authorization of payment on PC banking software
Credit controller monitor aged debtors, assessing credit limits and payment terms, seek and review credit references for new customers, chase payments and monitor cash flow
Oversee inventory levels;
Drive annual budget process, including costing and regular budget versus actual reviews
Ensure VAT compliance and other timely reporting processes such as monthly Intrastats, quarterly ED Sales Lists and National Statistics
Global travel as needed to other relevant Company sites or training, audit purposes and support
Provide support to other legal entities including Berkshire Singapore if needed
Other duties as assigned by Management
