Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Operative
Location: Manchester M40
DAYS: 7:00am – 7:00pm
NIGHTS: 7:00pm – 7:00am
Pay Rate from £9.50 p/h

*** rotating 4 on 4 off shifts ***
*** Temp to perm ***
The Role:
Your role is to extrude the polythene film specification as described on the job sheet ensuring that any non-conforming products are removed, and optimum productivity is achieved whilst adhering to all health and safety requirements.
It is your responsibility obtain the raw materials, packing products, set the extruder to run the specified job and operate the machinery within the safe operating procedures set. Working as a team you are to assist in maintaining the optimum production speeds of the machines, reduce change overtime and minimise scrap produced. It is your duty to report any machine maintenance issues to your supervisor to ensure optimum productivity is always achieved .
Responsibilities:
The principle roles and responsibilities will change from time to time and the post holder is required to undertake any additional duties as deemed appropriate.
Employees are required to have a Personal Development Plan and to participate in training, meetings or conference considered relevant to their job.
Employees must carry out their duties with full regard to the rules policies and procedures and conditions of service contained in the staff handbook
Employees must adhere to the core competences of the Company
To abide by the company’s policies and procedure
To adhere to all health and safety legislation
To undertake any other task that is deemed reasonable within your skill set
The Successful Candidate;
The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual and hard working. This is a long-term opportunity in a role offering great job security as part of a stable team. Previous production, factory or warehouse experience is desirable.
