Job Description
Job Title – Night Hygiene Supervisor
Hours – 8pm – 5am – Mon to Fri (some weekend work expected but paid overtime)
Reporting to Factory Manager
Permanent contract
Purpose of your role:
Managing the day to day of the hygiene team, ensuring the hygiene functions meet the needs to the business and maintaining a clean, hygienic and food safety.
Duties:
Direct the day to day operations (specifically the night shift)
Work as part of a team
Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic cleaning schedules ensuring 100% compliance to the schedule.
Prepare the weekend work schedule
Maintain the Cleaning Instruction
Logging various metrics for KPI measurement
Monitor standards achieved through daily inspections
Ensure PPE for the staff is maintained in good order and advise when new items are required
Ensure training requirements of the team are identified and action plans are in place
Carrying out training on CIC's
Monthly hygiene audits with the head of Technical
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of hygiene standards in the factory
Work with the Operations and Engineering Teams to improve the standard of handovers
Ensure all equipment damage or issues are reported in a timely manner
Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times
Management of holidays, absence etc
Carry out trials on chemicals, new cleaning methods etcQualifications and Experience
Must have previous hygiene experience -3 years ideally in a food or pharmaceutical environment
COSHH or Chemical Safety trained
Ideally will have previous supervisory experience
Ideally have H&S Level 2, HACCP level 2 and Food Safety Level 3
Ideally have IPAF or similar reach equipment qualification
