Monday to Thursday, 7.30am – 4.30pm, Friday, 7.30am – 12pm

Harlow

Our client, a manufacturer of production machinery, predominantly for the automotive industry, is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for their site in Harlow. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in a similar role within a manufacturing organisation and will have experience with Inventor or Vault.

Job Description

Designing jigs and fixtures.
Designing special purpose machinery.
Producing fabrication and component manufacturing drawings.
Producing BOM’s (Bill of Materials).
Liaising with customers during projects and attending meetings with the end users.
Working on projects predominantly for the automotive industry.
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Experience designing special purpose machinery,
Well versed with automation equipment.
Strong ability to detail component parts using geometric tolerancing.
Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Strong experience using Inventor and/or Vault. 
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

SolidWorks experience will also be considered.
Previous experience within an automotive manufacturing organisation is advantageous
