Job Description

You will be working as part of a small team dedicated to IT Security working to improve the security of diverse IT networks in use at sites across multiple locations in the UK. My client is a fantastic cutting edge IT Technology firm based in Gloucestershire. The client is willing to pay up to £55,000 per annum and there is no horrible shift work involved!

You will install software to the client’s network devices and monitor them for intrusions to help protect my clients IT infrastructure. The role will be working in a secret environment so you will require to either already hold or undergo SC Security Clearance to gain access to the site.

My client is looking to increase the team with someone who will:

* Work within the IT Security team to monitor networks, investigate alerts and resolve issues

* Maintain and optimise existing tooling and identify gaps in coverage. Work with the team and suppliers to find and implement the best tools to fill these gaps

* Support the business and project teams in identifying secure ways to achieve their project objectives

* Work with the team and other teams on site to maintain or gain accreditations (e.g. ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST (Apply online only))

* Review and assess vulnerabilities and their potential impact on the infrastructure

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience in an IT/IT Security role

* Knowledge of typical technologies used in a corporate network; servers, storage, networking, virtualisation, endpoints, cloud technologies

* Some knowledge of IT Security specific toolsets; SIEM, firewalls, AV, network access control, endpoint monitoring and protection
