Job Description
Acorn is currently recruiting for an Occupational Health Nurse on behalf of our client based at the refinery in Clydach, Swansea.
This is a permanent position with a very well-established company who refine nickel.
The successful candidate will have 3 to 4 years previous experience within a similar role along with relevant qualifications.
You must be registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have a minimum of 4 GCSEs.
Furthermore, IT skills are essential, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. The job holder must have good organisational and coordination skills, be a good communicator with a good understanding of COSHH requirements and industrial hygiene along with the ability to carry occupational health practices to a high standard.
You will be required to provide a comprehensive advisory and support service to both managers and staff regarding all matters relating to occupational health and play a key role in the promotion of occupational health, safety and welfare of the workforce, employees and contractors.

* Occupational Health Nursing Diploma
* Qualifications in Vital graph Spirometry
* First Aid
* Industrial Audiometry
* Porta count Face Fit Testing
* Defibrillation and Anaphylaxis
* Tier 3 Hand Arm Vibration FOM Accreditation
* Manual Handling Train the Trainer.
Your working hours will be from 7am until 7pm, with one week of days and one week of nights, followed by a week off.
