Job Description
A fast-scaling, and investment-backed, Tech company is now recruiting a Head of People/HR to join their team.
Based in Birmingham City Centre, this role will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing design and development of Hardware & Software and the deployment of the technology to customer sites. Managing the development and delivery capabilities for this business, you will be overseeing a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver robust and reliable products within agreed project timescales.
This business has received huge acclaim off the back of its latest successful funding round and is set for major expansion over the coming years.
Responsibilities:
Manage the deployment of Hardware in terms of project scope, cost, schedule, and quality of work from initial site preparation stage till complete handover to clients.
Work with agencies, clients, and contractors to resolve technical issues prior to deployment.
Planning, cost control, work measurement and collection of performance data such as status of hardware deployment, installed and commissioned quantities and progress measurement.
Manage engineering capabilities and contractors to achieve the efficient deployment of hardware according to client requirements.
Ensure that the works are carried out in a timely manner according to the approved plans, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
Provide regular progress update reports to management.
Attend to any matters assigned by the Board which is necessary for the execution of the project
Requirements:
Significant previous exposure to working within the development and deployment of infrastructure products.
Degree educated within a relevant engineering discipline and a project management qualification.
Ability to work independently on complex projects, involving client and stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and third-party/contractor management.
Strong history in the successful management of multidisciplined engineering teams and on-site personnel.
Ability to demonstrate a combination of technical skills, leadership, teamwork people management, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with electrical drawings, site layout plans, electrical shutdown procedures, etc.
Knowledge of all applicable safety regulations.
Usual computer and software proficiency requirements.
